DUBAI: Javed Afridi, the owner of Pakistan Super League franchise Peshawar Zalmi has lauded Fawad Rana for Lahore Qalandars’ player development program.
Talking to Geo in Dubai, Afridi – standing next to Rana – stated that Fawad Rana’s contributions is known to all and acknowledged by everyone.
“Rana sb’s investment in players development is remarkable. To invest on real talent at grass root is a big achievement,” Afridi said.
Afridi also hoped that the final of PSL 2019 will be played between Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi.
Replying to a question, Afridi said that the PSL has become a big brand and it wouldn’t have been a huge success without selfless efforts and involvement by the owners.
This brand wouldn’t have become a top brand without selfless involvement by the owners of various franchises,” he highlighted.
Afridi also shares his delight that gradually a major part of PSL is coming to Pakistan, which – according to him – will help making it even more bigger as a brand.
“I’m happy that now the majority of matches are going to be held in Pakistan from next year,” he said.
The action-packed Pakistan’s biggest cricketing extravaganza will be kicked off from February 14th in Dubai with final being scheduled to be held in Karachi on March 17th.
